New book club selection - Steal Like An Artist
It's time to announce my book club's newest selection, and I can’t wait to talk about this book. I read it a few years ago, which changed my outlook on creativity. It’s very short but really impactful. I hope you will join me in reading it and putting some of the ideas to work in your own life.
Book Club Discussion - The Art of Making Memories
I haven’t forgotten about my book club, and I’m happy to finally be able to report on this book. I chose The Art of Making Memories by Meik Wiking for the latest selection, and I read it all the way through and then listened to it on audiobook. I love it when authors narrate their own audiobooks. It’s so much more meaningful to hear it in their own voice.
New book club selection - The Art of Making Memories
It's time to announce the newest selection for my book club, and I'm excited about this one. I chose The Art of Making Memories by Meik Wiking. It's a great book that's available in several formats. Please note that one of the Amazon links for this book needs to be corrected for the Kindle version and shows a different title. This link will lead you to the correct version for all formats. I notified Amazon's customer service department, who told me they would fix it soon.
Designing Your Life - Part 2
I’m glad I chose Designing Your Life: How to Build a Well-Lived, Joyful Life by Bill Burnett and Dave Evans for the first selection of my new online book club, Books to Inspire Creativity. It was a great read to begin our creative journey together, but it also helped me as I’ve been thinking about how I want to manage this book club in the future. I feel like this was an exercise to try some ideas, and I will build on this experience for future selections and discussions.

Creativity is infinite; creative time is finite.
I have been on a real creative bender lately with my digital designing. I’ve had so many ideas that it has been hard for me to keep up with my brain! I’m finding that I can get lost in photoshop for hours. It’s been a lot of fun, but I’ve noticed that I’ve had very little creative energy left for other projects like blogging. It’s reminded me that while there is no end to creativity, there are limits on creative time and energy.
